Anti Doping

Anti-Doping Singapore (ADS) was established by the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports in 2010, with the purpose of overseeing anti-doping matters in Singapore. They act as separate anti-doping entity and is the result of the Singapore Government’s commitment to fight against doping in sport.

The Singapore Canoe Federation’s (SCF) policy is to promote canoeing as a sport that is free from performance enhancing drugs. We are committed to the education of all athletes, coaches and support crews about the dangers and consequences associated with the usage of prohibited substances to maintain a drug-free environment. SCF works in close collaboration with ADS and the Sport Singapore in accordance to the rules and guidelines provided from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA). Our national athletes are also randomly tested by their representatives over the course of the year. We hope that our stand against performance enhancing drugs will help to safeguard the physical and mental health of our athletes, ensure equal opportunity to compete in a fair environment and finally uphold the ethics of our sports.
