The Singapore Canoe Marathon  is one of the most widely-participated events among the local canoeing fraternity.

In our 13th edition this year, the 2015 Canoe Marathon had witnessed 650 canoeists paddling over distances from 7KM to 30KM in a test of endurance and skill. 200 volunteers and crews had also been activated on event day to facilitate and bring about a pleasant experience for our canoeists.

The Singapore Canoe Federation’s conscientious efforts in promoting Canoeing as a sport for all has not only effectively boosted the participation rate but also widened our participants’ age range (12 – 67).

Apart from competitive races, this year’s event also featured the following segments:

• Paracanoe – This is the first time a paracanoe category is introduced in a local canoeing competition. 8 beneficiaries from the newly launched SCF paracanoeing development programme were paired up with a volunteer to complete a 7km race course at the marathon.

• Team Singapore 50KM Relay – In celebration of SG50 and Sea Games 2015, Team Singapore canoeists have invited athletes from 35 other Sea Games sports to complete a collective distance of 50km at the marathon.

The Singapore Canoe Federation would also like to express our sincere appreciation to all sponsors, volunteers, officials and participants for your unwavering support and contribution to make this event a success!

We look forward to bringing you an even more exciting Canoe Marathon in 2016!
