Paracanoe in Singapore

The SCF champions the development and enjoyment by the public of all canoeing disciplines in Singapore. Since 2014, the SCF introduced paracanoe as a canoeing discipline to allow people with physical disabilities to enjoy the sport. The SCF Paracanoe programme is held every Saturday from 3-6pm at MacRitchie Reservoir.



ActiveSG Yes! I Can Canoe


ActiveSG Yes! I Can Canoe is a learn-to-play programme for persons with disabilities to experience recreational canoeing and take recreational canoeing up as a lifestyle sport. It is a joint programme with SportSG and SportCares.


Participants can learn canoeing in a fun, safe, and conducive environment with sessions conducted by certified and experienced coaches. They also have the opportunity to make new friends through the sport. Families, caregivers and volunteers are welcome to join in to support and learn with the participants.


ActiveSG Yes! I Can Canoe aims to promote a healthy lifestyle through sports for persons with disabilities.

Eligibility Requirements:

ActiveSG Yes! I Can Canoe is open to all children of Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents.


Participants have to be at least 7 years old (Born in 2012 or prior). All participants are required to go through a mandatory assessment to confirm eligibility.


There are 10 sessions, and each term will consist of 5 sessions.


The fee for each participant is $75 for the 1st term ($15/session). The 2nd term will be subsidised by SportCares.


ActiveSG Yes! I Can Canoe runs continuously until March 2020, except on special occasions like Public Holidays.


Please note that there will be no refunds for term fees, missed lessons, lessons that are cancelled due to inclement weather.
